Our counselling approach strives to decolonize therapeutic processes by promoting the sharing of Indigenous knowledges as a critical intervention for the healing and wellness of the Indigenous spirit. We offer a blend of research-based Western and Indigenous therapeutic intervention that supports the necessary foundation for restoration and healing from intergenerational trauma and other traumatic experiences. Our counselling services align with Michif values, Indigenous Holistic Theory and two-eyed seeing approaches which support healing from a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, grief and loss, suicidal concerns etc.

Counselling sessions are often held out on the land, within the community and/or in therapeutic spaces in the office to allow healing to take place in environments that best meet the needs of each person.

Michif Mental Health and Wellness Groups

Various groups are offered that have adapted Western theory and Indigenous Holistic theory to provide two-eyed seeing, trauma-informed healing for Metis people. Each group combines teachings from research-based Western modalities rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing.
